For Freelancers:
- Cancellation of Tasks
- Before Commencement: Freelancers have the right to accept or decline a task within 24 hours. If a freelancer does not respond within 48 hours, they may face derating, temporary suspension, or a permanent ban from the platform.
- After Commencement: Freelancers must provide a valid reason if they need to cancel a task after starting. Cancellation may only occur under exceptional circumstances, such as a lack of necessary information from the client or unforeseen personal emergencies. Freelancers must notify the employer at least 24 hours in advance. A cancellation fee may apply even if significant work has already been completed. In cases where the task is incomplete, deposits should be refunded to the employer.
- Cancellation of Projects
- Before Initial Milestone: Freelancers must review the employer’s requirements, specifications, and scope of work before accepting a project. Freelancers have the right to accept or decline the offer within 12 hours. Projects may be cancelled before the first milestone with appropriate notice. The freelancer must refund any advance payments made by the employer, less any non-refundable fees or expenses incurred, if applicable.
- After Initial Milestone: If a project is cancelled after the initial milestone, the freelancer is entitled to payment for work completed up to the completed milestones. Any unspent funds or deposits should be refunded to the employer, less any non-refundable fees or costs incurred, if applicable.
- Late Cancellation Penalties
- Frequent or unjustified cancellations can result in penalties, including temporary suspension or a permanent ban from the platform. Freelancers are encouraged to communicate openly and professionally to avoid cancellations.
- Work Not as Per Standard or Employer Document
Freelancers are required to adhere to the standards and specifications outlined by the employer. If the work delivered does not meet the agreed standards or the specifications detailed in the requested documents, the freelancer must revise the work to meet the requirements at no additional charge. Revisions must be completed promptly and in accordance with the employer’s feedback.
For Employers:
- Cancellation of Tasks
- Before Work Begins: Employers can cancel a task without penalties if the work has not commenced. A notice of at least 24 hours is required. Any pre-paid fees should be refunded to the employer, less any costs incurred by the freelancer, if applicable.
- After Work Begins: Employers must provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if they wish to cancel a task after work has started. The employer is responsible for paying for the work completed up to the point of cancellation, with mutual understanding from both parties.
- Cancellation of Projects
- Before Initial Milestone: Employers can cancel a project before the first milestone is reached, with at least 24 hours’ notice. Any advance payments should be refunded to the employer, less any costs incurred by the freelancer.
- After Initial Milestone: If a project is cancelled after the initial milestone, the employer is required to pay for the work completed up to the completed milestones. Any remaining funds should be refunded to the employer.
- Late Cancellation Penalties
- Frequent or unjustified cancellations by employers can result in penalties, including temporary suspension or a permanent ban from the platform. Employers are encouraged to confirm project details and freelancer availability before proceeding to avoid cancellations.
- Work Not as Per Standard or Requested Document
- If the work delivered by the freelancer does not meet the agreed standards or specifications outlined in the requested documents, the employer must provide detailed feedback and allow the freelancer a reasonable opportunity to make revisions. Payment will be made based on the completion of work that meets the agreed standards and specifications.
